Westrafo awarded for its investment in the United States

The company receives the “Foreign Direct Investment Project of the Year” recognition in Ohio

Dayton, Ohio – February 5, 2024 – Westrafo is pleased to announce that it has received the “Foreign Direct Investment Project of the Year” award at the 2024 Annual Meeting and Economic Review, held on February 5th at the Dayton Convention Center in Ohio.

The event was attended by leading institutional representatives, including the Governor of Ohio, the Presidents of JobsOhio and the Dayton Development Coalition, as well as numerous companies, research centers, and local consulting firms, providing a valuable opportunity for discussion and networking on the region’s economic development prospects.

During the ceremony, key projects and investments contributing to Ohio’s growth were presented, with a particular focus on new opportunities for Dayton.

Westrafo was one of three companies recognized for its contribution to the economic development of the region, thanks to its significant investment in a new manufacturing plant in Ohio. The facility, dedicated to the production of medium-voltage transformers and integrated solutions, is expected to be operational by July 2025.

The award, presented by the Dayton Development Coalition, was received by CEO Alberto Cracco that commented: “This recognition highlights the value of our project and reflects the appreciation of the local community.
