Westrafo goes Kaizen

For Westrafo, 2020 begins with an important renewal project.

Thanks to all our customers in 2019 we achieved record business growth with a turnover more than doubled compared to 2018: the plan is now to go further to push even more on our production flexibility, in order to guarantee to all of our customers the continuation of our commitment and our service despite the rapidity of our growth and an increasingly dense production agenda. Our goal is to further refine our working standard, to aspire to an even greater growth for the Company.

For this reason we have chosen to hire a Kaizen consultant, in order to further improve our production setup and achieve new productivity and production flexibility objectives.

But what is the Kaizen philosophy?

The term literally means ‘change for the better‘ and the principles related to it are very simple:

• Good processes deliver good results
• Go see for yourself to grasp the current situation
• Speak with data, manage by facts
• Take action to correct root causes of problems
• Work as a team
• KAIZEN™ is everybody’s responsibility

In the upcoming months, we will try to apply these principles in ways that work for us, involving all staff in a continuous improvement process, taking actions that lead to eliminating all unnecessary activities, optimizing processes and eliminating waste. Above all, we will never stop thinking of new solutions that lead to increase the value for our customer.
